Delete Problem

I fixed a small problem with the delete function. If 30 questions is too many for your Jeopardy-like board, deleting topics can help make the boards smaller.

Also, I do not recommend adding values to boards as it does not always operate predictably. If you try to add a value and it looks like it was added to the wrong place, try reloading the board before trying again. Usually, the reload will show it in the right place. I will continue to work on this.

BYOJeopardy 0.4

I updated BYOJeopardy with new and faster javascript last week. Now, I have the ability to run animated functions similar to flash player techniques. There is a new animated topic introduction for jeopardy-like boards. I just fixed a problem with the forum that didn't let anyone post. It should work now, so please let me know if you have any questions.

My top pick BYOJeopardy board created in August is the Nature Jeopardy!. It has one of the highest amount of views since it was created. I also recommend the CISL Double Jeopardy board created in July. This golden mountain themed board uses links to images on other sites. It also has traditional jeopardy style questions and topics like a "potpourri" topic.

Thanks for your Donations

Thank you for the donations that have been made. They help me continue to work on this application.

This software is valuable. Other game building software can cost hundreds of dollars. I have seen some for as much as $800 and the Classroom Jeopardy!™ game cost $300. I encourage corporate users to donate. Please, donate twenty dollars by clicking the "Make a Donation" button on the right.

BYOJeopardy 0.3 Beta

Recently, I upgraded BYOJeopardy with a lot of fixes. I worked on trying to help make board creation a little more intuitive. I also made a lot database changes that users won't notice. Finally, I worked on the application loading time. I will continue to work on this version for awhile. If you would like any additions to the software, post your suggestions in the help forum.

My top pick BYOJeopardy board created in July is the Peace Corps Jeopardy. My wife and I are returned Peace Corps Volunteer and we love the board. -- Awesome

Protect your boards

If you create an account, you can protect your version of your board from other edits. Anyone will still be able to view your board and copy it, but you will be the only one who can edit your version. Create an account by clicking login on the upper right corner and then choose Sign-Up. After you create an account, always login before you create a board or edit boards.

New "Who wants to be a Billionaire" and Quiz Style Jeopardy

I have recently added a "Who wants to be a Billionaire" board with three different styles from sofisticated to fun. This style is best suited for multiple choice games. Also, you can change the values. Check out my moleionaire version that I used to help my A.P. Chemistry students review.

I also added a function to change jeopardy style boards from the default "answers as a question" to a quiz style where players are asked the question. This is just like my example board. To do this click the Board Info tab at the top of the page, and then change the type to "Quiz Style."

Best Viewed with Firefox

I continue to try to develop this program and make it work on all internet browsers; however, BYOJeopardy looks much better on Mozilla's Firefox.

Alpha 0.1

This is the new Byojeopardy AJAX 0.1 alpha. I am excited to start testing this new version of BYOJeopardy. This AJAX version is the most platform-independent version. Using a web browser allows me to integrate html editing seemlessly.

Be aware that since this version is alpha. Your BYOJeopardy boards may not save correctly and you may run into other problems. If you have any problems, please message me on the help page. Thanks for testing it.

Enjoy!
